"Its Beautiful Thing"
This fresh Jazz Cat to the group was born on October 30,
1986. Although he was born on mischief night, it is no mystery
that his approach to music is very open because is evident
in his playing. He started playing the guitar at 11 and
was playing professional at the age of 15. When he was younger,
he really developed his ear by sitting down and listening
to Stewie Wonder, West Montgomery, and Chuck Loeb albums
and picked up as many licks as he could for them. He also
loved to listen to players like Pat Metheny, Eric Johnson,
Jim Hall, John Scofield, Kevin Eubanks, Mike Stern, Randy
Rhoads, and Pat Martino. Harry has studied with Matt McCloskey,
a great philly-based jazz/rock guitarist up until he graduated
from high school. At that time Harry had played in many
local churches, jazz trios, quartets, and a few big bands.
He has also done a little bit of pit work in theater plays
and teaching. Beside for the guitar, Harry also has a good
hold on the keyboards as well. He is currently studying
at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia for his degree
in performing arts (Jazz Studies).
